CHOCOLATE FUDGE PUDDING 
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. granulated sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. brown sugar, packed

Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar and two tablespoons of the cocoa. Add the milk, shortening and vanilla. Mix just until smooth. Add the pecans. Put mixture into a greased shallow, 1 quart baking dish.

In another bowl, mix the brown sugar and remaining 4 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle this over the mixture in the baking dish. Pour in 1 1/2 cups boiling water, over the top. Do not mix in! Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold. In serving this, the sauce is on the bottom and the cake is on the top.
