GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL
BROWNIES
 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. pecans (opt.)
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Use a 9 x 13 inch pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt caramels in 1/3 cup milk. Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup milk and butter until it holds together. Stir in pecans. Press half the mixture into greased and floured pan. Bake 6 minutes then sprinkle chips over. Dribble caramel mixture over chips and spread. Drop rest of cake mixture over caramel and bake another 10 minutes. Cool and cut.
