MANDARIN ORANGE SALAD 
1 large box Orange Jello
1 1/2 small containers Cool Whip
1 regular size container cottage cheese
1 large can mandarin oranges

Mix ingredients well. Refrigerate about 2 hours.

This needs a bit more details, like sizes of the packages. I tried it this way:

15 oz can of Geisha mandarin oranges (drained)
8 oz Lite Cool Whip (thawed)
16 oz Low Fat Cottage Cheese
6 oz Orange Jell-O

Mix items in large bowl and keep refrigerated.

For lighter orange flavor, use small box of orange Jell-O mix or add 1/2 more container of 8 oz Cool Whip container. For added flavor, use cottage cheese with pineapple.

I have made this many times over the years, I add a (8 oz.) can of either crushed pineapple or pineapple tidbits. It adds wonderful flavor.

This recipe has been used by my family for years; it's great for diabetics or anyone watching their sugar intake. Use sugar free Jello and try adding a very well drained can of crushed pineapple. Great with BBQ!

This recipe has been in the family for years. Best rule for making: For large crowds use the lg pkgs and containers (large box of jello, large tub of small curd cottage cheese and cool whip and how ever many oranges you like 1lg 1sm can) Same for the small crowd or all smaller containers/pkgs
