ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE | |
1 1/2 c. crushed Waverly wafers crackers 1/4 lb. butter 1/2 c. slivered almonds (optional) 1 lg. can asparagus 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. milk 3 tbsp. flour 1 jar Kraft Old English cheese Melt 1/4 pound butter and stir in crushed crackers to mix. Press into 9 x 9 inch casserole. Drain asparagus and arrange on crust. Top with slivered almonds if desired. Mix butter, flour and milk. Stir in jar of Kraft Old English cheese spread and melt over low heat. Pour over asparagus and top with a few extra crushed crackers. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. |
