NEVER FAIL DUMPLINGS 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 level tsp. baking powder
1 egg
Milk

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder.

Break egg into measuring cup, beat slightly, and fill rest of cup to full with milk.

Add to dry ingredients, beat a little.

Let rise 5 minutes.

Drop batter on top of boiling stew meat or chicken (leave meat in kettle).

Cover, boil for 20 minutes. (Tastes just as good warmed-over in broth next day.)
