3-MINUTE NO-FAIL DUMPLINGS 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. cold water

Mix all ingredients together with spoon just until dough leaves sides of bowl. Take a clean spoon, dip it in the gravy each time; and take a spoonful of dough and place it onto meat in skillet or kettle, not into liquid. Immediately cover tightly. Cook 3 minutes with no peeking. Good with pot roast, beef stew or chicken.

If you use self rising flour you can eliminate the salt and baking powder. I don't use sugar unless it is for a sweet dessert like into fruit.
