BEST BARBECUE SAUCE | |
1 (18 oz.) bottle commercial barbecue sauce 1 c. ketchup 1/2 c. red wine vinegar 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. paprika Juice of 2 lg. lemons 1 tbsp. pepper 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. horseradish 2 tsp. prepared mustard 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. picante sauce 1 clove garlic, minced Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, stirring well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer sauce, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Can store in the refrigerator for later use. Yield: 3 cups. |
