PERFECT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. oatmeal (blenderized to a fine powder)
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
3/4 c. white granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. real vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. butter flavor extract
2 eggs
2 c. semi sweet, real chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Measure 1 cup of oatmeal and blenderize 1/3 cup at a time in blender, to a fine powder. Put in mixing bowl. Add butter, brown and white sugar, and eggs, and mix well. Next add vanilla and butter extracts and mix well. Add flour, baking soda and salt, and mix well. Last, add the chocolate chips and nuts, and gently mix. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes, or until browned. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Yields 5 dozen cookies.
