PECAN PIE BARS 
Cookie crust (recipe below)
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. Karo corn syrup
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. pecan halves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare and bake cookie crust.

In large bowl beat eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Immediately pour over hot crust; spread evenly. Bake 25 minutes or until done. Cool.

COOKIE CRUST:

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

In large bowl mix:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix until mixture resembles crumbs; press firmly into pan. Bake 20-30 minutes. Top with filling.
