POPCORN CAKE 
Angel food cake pan, buttered generously
1 c. popcorn, pop and remove old maids
1/4 tsp. baking soda (set aside)
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 (6 oz.) can peanuts
1 pkg. M & M's
Pan of cold water (to dip hands)

Mix Karo syrup, cream of tartar, sugar, and butter; cook exactly 1 minute and 2 seconds! at full boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add soda. Having M & M's at bottom of popcorn and nuts (to prevent melting), pour and mix in syrup with hands dipped in water. Press mixture VERY hard into angel food cake pan. Let stand 1 hour. Turn out and cut. Easy to mail.
