CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE BARS
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet or chocolate chips
1/3 c. butter
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

FILLING:

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. boiling water
1/4 c. butter
1 c. nonfat dry milk
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine chocolate chips and butter in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on medium high (70%) power for 3 minutes. Stir every minute. Add crumbs and nuts. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Press half the mixture into the pan.

In saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add butter. Place dry milk into small mixer bowl. Beat in the sugar-butter mixture. Beat 1 minute until smooth. Beat in the cream cheese, egg and vanilla until mixture is smooth and creamy.

Pour into crumb-lined pan. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool to room temperature. Chill before cutting into bars.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
