CREAM CHEESE LAYER CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups Martha White plain flour, sifted
1 tbsp. vanilla flavor
1 tsp. butter flavor
3 sticks butter

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Cream butter, gradually adding sugar until mixed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Whip the cream cheese well. Add flour, one cup at a time until mixed well.

Transfer mixture to layer pans and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes done.

Makes 4 to 5 layers. Let cool and put your favorite frosting on top or serve with whipped cream, if desired.
