MARINATED CHUCK ROAST FOR
OUTDOOR COOKING
 
3 to 5 lbs. chuck roast
Tenderizer
1 sm. bottle soy sauce
1 1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

The day before cooking, bring roast to room temperature. Sprinkle with tenderizer and prick with fork. Marinate overnight in refrigerator in mixture of the remaining ingredients. The next day bring roast to room temperature. Charcoal broil 45 minutes to 1 hour basting with marinade frequently. Serve as soon as possible after cooking. Serves 6 to 8.
