CHICKEN BROCCOLI SKILLET | |
1 frying chicken, cut up, or 2 to 3 lbs. chicken parts 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/4 c. water 1 (7/8 oz.) env. gravy mix for chicken 1 to 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, partially thawed Brown or white rice (if desired) Brown chicken in butter; pour off excess fat. Add water, contents of gravy mix envelope and lemon juice, stirring until blended. Cover, simmer 40 minutes, stirring once or twice. Cut stems from broccoli; slice diagonally. Add to chicken; cook 5 minutes. Add broccoli buds and cook 5 minutes longer. Serve on rice. This makes 4 to 6 servings. |
