PEANUT BUTTER CHIP OATMEAL
COOKIES
 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix brown sugar, butter, shortening, milk, vanilla and egg until well blended. Mix in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake until lightly brown, 10 to 12 minutes for soft cookies.
