MICROWAVE FRENCH ONION SOUP 
4 or 5 lg. onions
1/4 c. butter
1 can chicken broth
2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 c. grated Parmesan
1 can beef broth
Hot water
Toasted French bread slices

Combine onions and butter in 2 quart casserole. Cover and cook High for 6 to 8 1/2 minutes. Combine chicken and beef broth in 4 cup measure. Add enough hot water to equal 4 cups. Add mixture to onions. Cover and cook High for 4 to 6 minutes. Ladle soup into 4 individual bowls. Top with bread slices, sprinkle with cheeses. Microwave at High for 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
