BARBECUE STEW BEEF | |
1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup 1 catsup bottle of water 3 tbsp. vinegar 2 tsp. chili powder 2 tsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 med. onion, chopped 1 to 4 lb. boneless stew beef Mix blend well all ingredients except beef. Put beef (cut into small cubes) into a broiler pan. Pour sauce over beef. Seal pan with foil and bake at 375 degrees for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Note: Instead of catsup, I usually use a quart measuring pitcher, and mix a combination of barbecue sauce, such as Kraft hot, honey spiced, etc. to make 14 ounces total. Note: This is good for chicken or pork chops also. The sauce may be refrigerated or frozen and reused maybe once or twice. The smaller the beef cubes, the more tender the beef. |
