BLUE RIBBON BREAD PUDDING | |
1 loaf French bread 1/2 c. raisins 6 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 can evaporated milk 2 c. homogenized milk 1 stick butter 2 tbsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg Tear French bread into small pieces. Place into large baking pan. Combine evaporated milk, homogenized milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg; beat with wire whisk. Pour over French bread, sprinkle raisins over mixture. Melt butter. Pour over top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until pudding is set and lightly browned on top. Apples, coconut or pineapple may also be added. Makes 10-12 servings. |
