GINGERSNAPS 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
2 sm. eggs
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves

Cream shortening, add sugar, mix well. Add eggs, molasses and vinegar and mix. Add dry ingredients. If batter is too stiff you may add 1 tablespoon of water. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
