LEMON BALLS 
2/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and gradually blend in sugar. Add beaten egg, lemon juice and peel. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Gradually stir into creamed mixture. Chill; shape into balls the size of walnuts.

Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon and roll cookies in mixture. Place on greased baking sheet and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 12-15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
