PERFECT DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients, add milk to egg and add to dry ingredients, blend or fold mixture but do not beat to mix. When combined thoroughly drop by spoonful into boiling broth and steam 15 minutes with lid on continuously. Makes about 1 dozen dumplings.
