CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS 
1 bag caramels
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chocolate chips
7 tbsp. evaporated milk
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt the caramels and evaporated milk over low heat. Mix the flour, soda, salt, oatmeal, brown sugar and butter until crumbly. Pour half of the oatmeal mixture into bottom of 9"x13" pan. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts on the crust; cover with the caramel mixture. Add remaining crumbs; press gently. Bake 12 to 15 minutes more.
