CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP BARS 
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. nuts (chopped)
1 c. chocolate chips

Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Cook over low heat until melted. Set aside.

Combine by hand stirring, cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Stir until mixture holds together. Press 1/2 dough into 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Pour caramel mixture over top. Crumble reserved dough on top. Bake 15-18 minutes.
