JACK'S BROWN RICE 
1 c. rice
2 cans beef consomme
1 onion
1 bell pepper
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 slices bacon

Cook bacon in fry pan. Cut up onion and bell pepper. Remove bacon and set aside. Place onion and bell pepper in bacon drippings and cook until brown.

Place consomme, onions, bell pepper and crumbled bacon in Corningware dish. Add rice to hot fry pan along with the Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir about 5 minutes. Add rice to rest of ingredients in Corningware dish, cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 20 minutes. The Secret: Do not remove top during the 20 minutes of simmering.
