BOSTON BAKED BEANS | |
2 c. dried navy beans 1/4 lb. bacon, diced 1 tbsp. dried onion 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. molasses 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Wash and pick over beans. Cover with hot water and soak overnight. Next day, cook beans in 8 cups of water in a large saucepan. Simmer for 45 minutes. Let stand covered for 1 1/2 hours. Drain. Place beans in crockpot. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir well. Cover and cook on low for 10 hours. Stir occasionally. |
