MA'S TEA CAKES 
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. lard
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Beat sugar and eggs, add buttermilk, lard and vanilla. Sift the flour and add to sugar mixture. Stir well and refrigerate for 30 minutes for easier handling. Roll on floured board; cut and bake at 400 degrees on a greased cookie sheet. Makes 5 dozen.
