2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch salt
1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together until smooth. Pour into oblong baking dish and bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. When cake is done use opposite end of wooden spoon and poke holes all over cake. Pour the following over cake while both cake and icing are hot.

ICING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
Vanilla

Boil until thick. Pour on while cake is hot.
