1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs, then sifted dry ingredients. Chill dough. Roll into small balls, then roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. BAke 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
