ITALIAN STYLE BEEF | |
1 lb. ground beef (lean) 1/4 c. cold water 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1 tbsp. minced parsley All purpose flour 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs 1 tbsp. oil 4 slices Mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese 1 c. spaghetti sauce 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese Parsley for garnish With hands, mix together beef, water, salt, pepper and parsley. Shape into 4 patties, about 3/4" thick. Coat both sides of patty with flour. Dip into egg, then into bread crumbs. Brown quickly in hot oil in skillet. Arrange in shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Put a slice of cheese on each patty. Pour spaghetti sauce over patties. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Garnish with parsley. |
