SAUSAGE, RICE & CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork breakfast sausage 1 onion, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 1 lb. pkg. Velveeta cheese 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 bags of boil in bag rice Seasoned salt Black pepper Set oven to 400 degrees. Saute onion and bell pepper in lightly oiled or sprayed skillet. Add pork sausage and let the sausage brown. Set aside on stove to keep warm. Cook the rice as directed on the box. Combine the cooked rice, cooked sausage mixture, both cans of the cream soups and 1/2 of the cheese. Mix well all ingredients together. Add seasoned salt and black pepper to suit your own taste. Put entire mixture into a lightly oiled baking dish and slice remaining cheese on top of mixture. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted on top. Serves 6. |
