ONION FRIED RICE 
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1 c. uncooked rice
1 env. Lipton onion soup mix
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. soy sauce

In skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter and cook beaten egg and water until set. Remove egg pan, cool, and cut egg into thin strips. Heat remaining butter and cook rice until golden. Stir in soup mix and 2 1/2 cups water. Simmer covered 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Add onion, soy sauce and egg strips. Toss lightly.

For a delicious one-dish meal, add 2 cups hot cooked diced pork, beef, or chicken.
