ALMOND POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter, softened
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Mix flour and soda, add alternately with buttermilk to butter sugar. Last, blend in the extract. Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

NOTE: Allow the cake to set 10 minutes before removing. Serves 10.
