PORK STEW 
4 loin end pork chops
1 tbsp. shortening
2 onions (quartered)
2 c. water
1 lb. carrots
4 med. potatoes (quartered)
1 sm. cabbage (quartered)
Salt & pepper

Brown pork chops in shortening, add onions and water, salt and pepper, simmer 30 minutes. Add carrots and potatoes, simmer another 30 minutes, last add cabbage on top. Cook for around 30 minutes more or until cabbage is tender. Remove to platter and thicken gravy. You may need to add more water before cooking time is up.
