MEATLOAF ROAST | |
2 lbs. ground chuck 6 tbsp. bread crumbs or quick oats 2 eggs 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1/4 c. catsup 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1 tsp. baking powder 1 (16 oz.) can beef gravy Mix all ingredients together; shape into a loaf and place in a roasting pan. Place desired amount of potatoes, carrots and onions around the sides of the meatloaf. Pour a 16 ounce can of beef gravy over all and bake at 375 degrees until the vegetables are tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Instead of the can of gravy. Use a can of mushroom soup, a can of water, 1/2 package Lipton soup (onion). Mix all together and pour over the roast. This makes its own gravy. |
