NOT-TOO-SWEET PRALINES 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. reg. vanilla pudding mix
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cook over medium heat until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234 degrees). Add pecans; beat with a spoon until mixture begins to thicken and loses it's gloss. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper; let stand until firm. Store in an airtight container. Yield: About 2 dozen.
