CHEESE DATES 
8 oz. sharp Cracker Barrel cheese, grated
2 sticks frozen butter, grated
2 c. unsifted plain flour
8 oz. chopped dates
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1/4 c. water

Add flour to grated cheese and butter. Mix by hand and shape into a ball. Refrigerate. Cook dates, sugar and water over low heat until just soft. Let cool.

Slice off dough a little at a time; leave rest in refrigerator. Shape into 3-inch rounds. Place small amount of date mixture on round. Fold in half and press edges together. Bake on cookie sheet for 15-17 minutes at 350 degrees.
