DATE - CHEESE NUT BREAD 
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 lb. dates, chopped
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. shredded cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
Chopped nuts

Pour water over dates and let stand 5 minutes. Sift together dry ingredients. Add date mixture, egg, cheese, vanilla, nuts. Pour into greased and floured bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
