LEMON FILLING | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. flour 1/2 c. water 3 tbsp. or 2 tbsp. (Blair lemon flavoring) 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten 1 tbsp. butter Combine sugar and flour in saucepan and mix well. Add water little at a time until smooth. Stir in lemon flavoring. Cook over medium heat until thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add small amount of cooked mixture in yolks and pour back into pan. Cool 1 minute stirring constantly, add butter, blend well and cool. Makes enough for 1 (8 inch) pie. |
