ITALIAN BISCUITS 
3 eggs
1/4 lb. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder and a little more
3/4 tsp. anise seeds
1/2 c. nuts
2 whiskey glasses of whiskey

Mix flour, anise seeds, and nuts. Set aside. Soften butter and add sugar; mix thoroughly. Add one egg at a time and mix well. Add whiskey. Add flour mixture. Mix dough and knead. Separate dough in 6 equal pieces.

Roll each out like tube about 18 inches long and place on cookie sheet. Pat down each strip of dough. Bake about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cookies are not to get brown but should be kept white. When strips are cooked, remove from oven and slice diagonally. Toast under oven (both sides) until light brown in color.
