ITALIAN BISCUITS 
9 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts
6 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. salt
5 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. anise seed
1/2 lb. melted butter
Milk (cover bottom of pan used in melting butter)

Beat egg yolks, add sugar, beat. Add melted butter and milk. Beat egg whites and add to yellow mixture. Add nuts and anise. Add this mixture to dry ingredients (flour, salt and baking powder). Shape on floured board, place on greased cookie sheet (2 lengths on a sheet). Makes 4 lengths. Brush top with milk.

Bake in 325 degree oven for 40 minutes. Cut into pieces while hot. Let stand until cool.
