ITALIAN BISCUITS 
6 eggs
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. oil or melted shortening
4 c. unsifted flour

Beat eggs with sugar. Add shortening and vanilla and mix well. Add 1 cup flour. After adding the first cup of flour, add baking powder. Add remaining flour one cup at a time making sure you don't add too much flour. Add only until dough is easy rolling with hands. Roll pieces in rope shape approximately 1/2 inch thick. Cut in 6 inch pieces and knot into desired shape. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
