ITALIAN WINE BISCUITS 
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. red wine
1 c. oil
1 egg, lightly beaten

Lightly mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in wine and oil. Mix to blend and form dough. Let stand in ball for 10 minutes.

Break off pieces and roll in hands to form snake-like ropes thick as you thumb. Coil onto greased cookie sheet, making center of coil slightly higher than outer edges. Brush with egg. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven until browned for 15-20 minutes.
