INFALLIBLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
8 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flour. Stir well, then add flavorings; stir lightly. Bake in tube pan 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
