OPEN FACE APPLE PIE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar (I use less)
Cinnamon to taste
1 beaten egg
3 c. grated apple (I use Granny Smith's)

Melt the butter. Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 for 1 hour (check at 45 minutes). Serve with warm vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Men especially like this dessert.

I needed a no-top pie recipe to use up a bunch of frozen pie crusts I have. There aren't very many online and I am happy to have found this. It is exactly what I need... frozen crust, filling, no top. It is so easy to make and the best part is it tastes absolutely delicious! THIS man really likes this desert!
