ENGLISH PEA SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 c. green onions
1 can English peas, drained
Celery and carrots; optional
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar
Grated cheese

Layer in dish as listed above. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, add sugar. Spread over layers. Top with grated cheese and bacon bits, if desired. Chill for 24 hours, toss, and serve.
