1-3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg
48 Hershey's kisses
Sugar to roll cookies in

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix all ingredients together and shape into small balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Press kiss firmly onto cookie until it cracks around edges.

Makes approximately 4 dozen.

These cookies do not have a regular peanut butter texture, which is why it is hard to duplicate. These will get your great raves!!
