FRENCH APPLE DESSERT 
4 c. diced, peeled apples
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. salad oil
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Place apples in bowl. Mix in eggs. Mix sugar and cinnamon together and add to apples with salad oil and nuts. Mix. Stir together the flour, soda and salt. Add to the first mixture and beat well. Greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with hot caramel.

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla

Boil, stir constantly. Serve hot over cake.
