CANADIAN FRENCH BREAD DESSERT 
Cut one loaf of French bread in half. Put one half in the oven to heat. After it is warmed cut it into 4 thick slices and quarter them. Place these in a skillet of hot maple syrup (about 2 cups) and let them cook five minutes. Whip 1 pint of whipping cream (or use a container of Cool Whip). Place a large amount of whipped cream in the bottom of a soup bowl. Place four pieces of the French bread on top of this and drizzle whipping cream or Half & Half over the top. Sprinkle with brown sugar and serve.

Serves four.
