8 c. cut corn 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped green peppers 2 c. chopped cucumber 2 c. chopped cabbage 1 1/2 tbsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. mustard seed 1 c. chopped red peppers 1 tbsp. salt 3 c. vinegar 3 c. sugar 1 tbsp. turmeric 1/4 c. cornstarch In a 1-cup container, put cornstarch and fill with water. Boil corn 5 minutes. Peel onions. Remove seed from peppers, chop and measure cabbage, cucumbers, onions and peppers. Mix all ingredients with the cornstarch mixture. Simmer 20 minutes. Bring to boil. Pack boiling hot into jars. Seal at once. Makes 9 pints. |
