CALIFORNIA CHILE 
1 lb. pinto beans
2 chopped onions
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. butter
3 lbs. hamburger
1 lb. pork sausage
2 tbsp. flour
3 to 4 lbs. canned tomatoes
3/4 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. green pepper
1/2 c. red pepper
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
6 oz. sliced black olives
1 lb. backed beans
12 oz. chili sauce
1 tbsp. salt
Pepper
1 tbsp. oregano
Parsley
1 to 4 tbsp. chili powder to taste

Soak pinto beans overnight. Cook until tender with onions, minced garlic and butter. Brown hamburger and pork sausage. Drain and add flour. Combine with pinto bean mixture, then add the next 13 ingredients. Cook until done. (Needs 2 Dutch ovens to hold this quantity.)
